More than a third of millennial parents are considering home schooling as a permanent option for their children – despite schools reopening – according to new research from Oxford Home Schooling.

Nearly half (43 per cent) of the millennial parents in the 25-34 year age group surveyed said they enjoyed teaching their children during lockdown and found it a positive experience. London parents embraced home schooling the most, while parents in Edinburgh enjoyed it the least. And Dads enjoyed the experience more than mums, with almost half (48 per cent) of fathers reporting positively, compared with 38 per cent of mothers.

Worryingly, a staggering 80 per cent of parents felt unsupported by schools during lockdown.
